Jane came highly recommended to SENDhelp by one of our most successful teachers several years ago. Since, Jane has displayed a broad experience as a teacher who is dynamic in her approaches and passionate about SEND and has time and time again received impressive feedback from each school and provider we have sent her too.

Jane has over 30 years’ experience in teaching. Her most recent teaching experience has been working on an EOTAS package for SENDhelp leading the educational package for a 14 year old boy who has severe and complex needs. Jane manages a full team of Teaching Assistant’s, and curates all of the planning of lessons, community-based activities, risk assessments and funding requests for the local authority.

Previous to this, Jane had been in an SLD School for children with complex needs and profound and severe Learning Difficulties. She is proficient in planning and assessment and is able to tailor her delivery of teaching based on EYFS statements and children’s EHCP targets. These are just some examples of the great work she has done for SENDhelp!

Jane’s ambition is to continue her career within the SEND sector, something she is incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about, using her broad range of skills and is looking to join a new school for short term or long term supply. She is able to build strong relationships with learners and colleagues easily to set a strong foundation for learning. She had advanced knowledge in communication using Intensive Interaction Therapy and enjoys working with groups using Attention Autism, Singing and other creative tools to develop attention in group sessions.

Jane is able to teach and support all age groups, from EYFS through to adults, but has mainly worked with pupils between 10 and 18. She is also able to teach a variety of subjects including English, Food Technology, PSHE, Life Skills, Art (to name a few).

Jane is an enthusiastic and committed teacher, we commend her skillset and knowledge as she really can drive forwards her ability to individualise tasks for each child to help to remove barriers and facilitate progress.
