A large SEND school based in St Albans is looking to expand its team and is searching for an experienced special needs Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible.
This OFSTED rated ‘good’ school caters for all ages between 2 and 19 and learners with complex and profound learning difficulties. Split into three sections, the school works on the basis of three departments; ASD, SLD and PMLD.
The right candidate will have experience in working with these types of SEND at a similar school and will be confident in supporting learners within the classroom and on a 1:1 basis.

The school boasts facilities to cater for its broad range of needs including a hydrotherapy pool and they pride themselves on personalising a stimulating curriculum to ensure every pupil can learn, develop and make progress. The school’s curriculum has an emphasis on the development of pupils’ communication, life skills and independence.
Depending on which types of needs you are supporting personal care may be part of this role. Nursery Assistants, Care Workers and SEND TA’s would be ideal for this school!
